Sustainability Education
Redefined on the Pitch
Through the language they understand most, we are teaching young boys and girls about climate change, while having fun in a thrilling football competition.
GOALS THAT GROW
Climate Change education, where it matters most
Play4Change uses the power of sports and games to empower young people, nurture talent, and promote environmental sustainability. By integrating climate change awareness and eco-friendly practices into engaging sports activities, Play4Change inspires students to become proactive in protecting the environment while developing critical life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and resilience.
The Problem
A Forgotten Generation
Whereas the government, development partners and other several institutions have put effort in creating awareness about the prevailing environmental disasters in our communities and efforts in empowering youths, the outcomes have not been satisfactory. This could partly be due to the approaches adopted minimal effort due to low funding and other factors.
Comrades to Youths Africa proposes cheap, sustainable and more robust approach to inculcating knowledge about environmental sustainability and to empower youth at the same time. This will be through sports development in a league under which several primary schools will participate by bringing in their students during which information about environmental sustainability shall be disseminated in formats packaged for based on age appropriateness and the climate risk profile in which these areas are located.
