The Students Empowerment Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and support necessary to excel in various aspects of their lives.
This program is structured around three key elements/projects.
Leadership and Entrepreneurship Course
This annual course has 10 modules. It gives students insights into leadership, problem-solving, financial literacy and entrepreneurship. It encourages innovative thinking and helps students explore their entrepreneurial potential.
Project objective: To develop leadership qualities and entrepreneurial skills in students.
Mentorship
Students are paired with mentors, often teachers, who offer career advice, life counselling, and emotional support. These mentor-mentee relationships foster trust and lasting connections between students and teachers which improves the students’ academic performance.
Project objective: To provide guidance and support to students in both academics and personal development.
Trade Skill Training
Students gain essential soft skills like communication and teamwork, as well as vocational skills such as baking, carpentry, and computer proficiency, based on their interests and needs. These skills complement their academic education and future prospects.
Project objective: To equip students with practical skills, both soft and hard, to enhance personal and professional capabilities.
Why It Matters
Empowering students today means building a stronger, more resilient tomorrow. By fostering mentorship, imparting practical skills, leadership and entrepreneurship, we are nurturing well-rounded individuals who are prepared to tackle challenges and seize opportunities to develop themselves and the communities they live in.
